    Declaration of Independance
    On July 4, 1776 the Declaration of Independence was officaly Continental. This document was to help serve to colonies' and ties to the British Crown. The Declaration of Independance is important becasue it lead to the independance from King George III. Also it no longer guaranteed us our own natral rights. The Declaration of Independance was very important to other countries besides the United States.

    The official signing of the U.S Constitution
    Members of the Constitution Convention signed the U.S constitution of Sep 17, 1787 in Philidelphia. In Pennsylvaina, The Constitutional Covention agreeed that the Articals of Convederation needed a strong civialized government. The Constitution was established, the U.S government exitsts today. This is important becasue it created an important time in history. Also becasue it started the new government.

    Trail of Tears
    The Trail of Tears were about 19,000 Cherokees. They faced many things like hunger, disease and exhustio form the march. They had to give up, and they were forced to give up there land (east of Mississippi River) and migrate to a different area. This event is important becasue about 4,000 out of the 15,00 Cherokees died. It was one of the sadest events in history because men, women, and children were taken from their own land and forced to walk thousands of miles.

    California Gold Rush

    The Californa Gold Rush started in Independance Missouri heading west. The first perosn to ever to discover gold in Californa was James Marshall. After that 250,000 people went to CA to find gold. In 1849, a ounce of gold cost $16/ oz. Californa Gold miners were hard-working to find what they wanted. This event is important and influential because after looking for gold they couldnt stop and they were running out of money and they had to figure out whta to do.

    Dawes Act (1887)
    It all started when Prsident Grover Cleveland signed the Daws Act. It was the act to split up reservationms held by the Native American tribes into smaller units and distributed these units into individuals within the tribe. Under the Dawes Act, the head of each Native American family that migrated, got 160 acres in a effort to encorage Native Americans to take up farming and live in smaller family's. The Dawes Act in 1934 was abolished during President Franklin's Roosevelt's first term.

    Ellis island open in 1892 as a federal immigration station. It served for more than 60 years (closed in 1954) Millions of new arrived immigrants passed through the station during the time 1892-1954. It has been estimated that 40 percent of current U.S. citizens can trace at least one of their ancestors back to Ellis Island. At Castle Garden, to become a U.S. citizen, you had to go through immigration proccessing, medical exams, name registration

    The Great Depression was a severe worldwide depression. It shocked the market crash. And it sent everyone into panic and wiped out millions of investors. Americans were unemployed for a while and country's banks failed. This was such a important time in history becasue it was spred in all parts of America and people needed to figure out how to survive. This is influential becasue the Great Depression was a very important part of History and it shows how people helped others to survive.

    A little over 8 years ago President Kennedy's challange was to put a man on the moon before the decade was out. NASA had to make a decision. They decided to send Apollo 8 all the way to the moon. This is very important becasue it was the first time any human set foot on the moon. This was was influential becasue it incourages other to set out of there fears and try something.

    On November 30, 2000 I was born. I was born at the Reading hospital. I have two parents and 1 brother in High School. My brother is a seinor, and he plans to go to collage. Today, I'm a 8th grader. And some of my interests are playing sports like basketball and volleyball. I like to do photogrophy and cook and bake.
