  • Declaration of Independance

    The Decllaration of Independance was written by Thomas Jefferson. This document ment that the 13 colonies were seperating from England. It was very important because it was one of the most significant symblols of liberty and freedom.
  • U.S. Constitution

    The United States Constitution is the supreme law of the United States. It is very important because it was the first succesful form of goverment for the United States of America.
  • Indian Removal Act

    Indian Removal Act
    The Indian Removal Act was a law that was passedby by congress while Andrew Jackson was in Presidency. This Law allowed Andrew Jackson to have authority to negotiate with the Indian Tribes in the Southeast. It gave him the power to force the Native Americans off their land and move west of the Mississippi River. How this is important to U.S history is the Removal Act helped the Americans move into that land and grow more crops.

    The California Gold Rush began on Janurary 24,1848 when James W. Marshall found a gold nugget. The news spread and brought about 300,000 people to California. Out of those 300,000 people approximately half came by sea. The CA gold Rush affected the U.S because after the gold rush so many people were left with no money and jobs.

    The Battle of Antietam, also known as The Battle of Sharpsburg was the bloodiest single day battle in American History. Recording with 22,717 dead, wounded, and missing. The Battle of Antietam was also the first battle fought on Union soil. It was nicknamed The Battle of Sharpsburg beacause it was fougt near Sharpsburg, Maryland. The Union's defence was Antietam Creek.

    The Battle of Gettysburg changed America forever. The Battle of Gettysburg had the most casualties in the whole Civil War. The Battle of Gettysburg was a tide turner in the Civil War. It changed the lead from South to North. The North had 23,055 casualties and losses, and the South had 23,231 casualties and losses. The North won the Battle of Gettysburg
  • Trancontinental Railroad Finished

    On May 10, 1869, a golden spike was driven at Promontory, Utah, signaling the completion of the first transcontinental railroad in the United States. The transcontinental railroad had long been a dream for people living in the American West.

    It involved the vast majority of the world's nations including all of the great powers eventually forming two opposing military alliances the Allies and the Axis. It was the most widespread war in history, and directly involved more than 100 million people, from more than 30 different countries. This was very important to U.S. history becuase it was a boost in confidence for the U.S.
  • Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima, Japan

    The atomic bombings of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan were conducted by the United States during the final stages of World War II. The two bombings were the first and only use of nuclear weapons in warfare. This is important to the United States history becuase America defeated Japan.
  • Apollo 11 landing on the moon

    Neil Armstong was the first human to ever step on the moon. He and his partner Buzz Aldrin were on the moon for about two and a half hours. They collected 47.5 pounds of lunar material. This achievment is very important for the United States History because we were the first humans to land on the moon,

    I was born on June 26 in the Ephrata Hospital. I have 4 older syblings and 4 younger syblings. I have 3 sisters and 5 brothers. I am the middle child of 9. As an 8th grader some of my intetrests are Sports and the Washington Redskins.
  • Terrorists attack

    The terrorists attacks killed almost 3,000 people and caused at least $10 billion in property and infrastructure damage. Four passenger airliners were hijacked by terrorists. Two of the planes hit the twin towers. The other one hit the pentagon. The last one was aiming for The Whitr house but crashed before it reached it. This is important to U.S. history because it warns us that this could happen again.
