Magna Carta
The Magna Carta is a seris of written promises between the king and his subjects. It states that the king would govern England and deal with its people according to feudal law. The Magna Carta was an attempt to stop Kings from abusing power.

Plymouth colony (established)
Plymouth colony was a group of English merchents, they had intended to settle on the Hudson River but were blown off course. The plymouth colony develpoed around trade in fish and furs. They were not prosperous.

Sugar/Revenue Act of 1764
The Sugar act of 1764 was made because the Sugar and Molasses Act was about to expire. The Sugar and Molasses act required merchants to pay 6 pence per gallon on Molasses. The Sugar revenue act helped to reduce rate of tax on molasses from 6 pence to 3 pence.

Boston Massacre

First Continental Congress
The Virginia house of Burgess proposed the first continental congress. The first continental congress was made so that the colonist could protect their rights.
