Montague and Capulets are rival families
Romeo is upset because he has no one to love -
Romeo goes to a party at the Capulets house to try to find women to check out.

Paris tries to get Juliet to like her as much as he likes her. Juliet agrees to try to give him a chance.

Mercutio talks Romeo out of thinking going to the party is a bad idea. Romeo decides to go along with it and says that fate will decide what happens.

Romeo lays eyes on Juliet and they meet. He forgets about Rosaline and falls in love with Juliet. They kiss in the halls and the nurse interrupts their kissing scene. He finds out she's a Capulet.

Romeo stays hidden in the Capulet orchids because he doesn't want to leave Juliet because his heart stays with him

Romeo listens to Juliet talk about him. She would love to give herself to him if he were to let go of his name. Romeo and Juliet have a strong love for each other. Romeo is in danger since he's in Capulet territory

Romeo asks Friar Laurence to marry him and Juliet. He agrees because he hopes that it'll end the family feud.

Mercutio and Benvolio are looking for Romeo when Tybalt comes along and challenges Romeo to a duel

The nurse returns back to Juliet and tells her to meet with Romeo at two later that day.

Friar Laurence tells Romeo he shouldn't marry so quick but he proceeds to marry them anyways once Juliet comes.

Mercutio takes Romeo's challenge in which he dies. Romeo gets revenge for Mercutio and kills Tybalt after and gets banned from the Capulets territory. He doesn't want to live anymore because he can no longer live with his love

Juliet would much rather kill herself than to marry Paris and is then giving a potion to mimic death. If she isnt called Romeo's wife she believes she shouldn't be anything at all

Juliet tells her father that she will marry Paris because that is what he wants to hear. She still plans on taking the potion anyway.

Juliet contemplates if she should take the potion or not because she will rather be with Romeo again or join Tybalt. At the end she still takes it.

As Lord Capulet is preparing for the wedding he sends the nurse to wake up Juliet only to find her dead on her bed.

The Friar, Paris and the musicians come in only to get told by Juliet's father that she is dead. Since Friar Laurence knows that she's not really dead, he lightens the mood by telling them to celebrate Juliet's death because she is now in heaven and to prepare for the funeral.
