    Philip V attacked again, but this time Rome teamed up with Greek city-states Pergamon and Rhodes. The war concluded by signing a treaty forcing Philip to give up his possessions.

    Hannibal, the Cathaginian general, invaded Italyandtried to take over, but he was only allowed to conquer Lake Trasimene and Cannae. He was soon stopped by Roman Scipio Africanus in 202 B.C. This left Rome in control of the western Mediterranean and a big chunk of Spain.

    Romulus and Remus were twins that were abandoned by thir mother and taken care of by a wolf. The twins eventually started there own city and Romulus killed Remus and Romuls was then the "founder" of Rome.

    The Roman epire started in 27 BC by eby Augustus and divided in AD 395 into the Western Roman Empire and the eastern or Byzantine Empire. Several territories were taken over like, Britain and Germany to North Africa and the Persian Gulf.

    After Caesar's death, Augustus formed an alliance with Antony which helped him gain the throne of Rome and start the Roman Empire being the first emperor of Rome. He was Julius Caesar's adopted son, and the people were a little bit unsure about him.

He stopped the ways of the Roman Republic and basically started a dictatorship, which turned out okay. Caesar's rule was put to an end by a very well known murder.

    From 509-27 BC, Rome had it's own republice instead of worshipping one King for several years. There last King was overthrown by a republic. The republic consisted of two different people the patricians, the politicians, and the plebeians, the people.
