  • Robert Wilcox was born

    Wilcox was born on February 15, 1855

  • Beginning of Wilcox's Political Career

  • Turin Military Academy

  • Reform Party stopped paying for Wilcox's training in Italy (Wilcox was ordered to come home)

  • Reform Party took control of Hawaii Bayonet Constitution

  • Wilcox left Hawaii to return to Italy with his wife

  • U.S annexed Hawaii

    Wilcox won the election on the Democratic Party.

  • Wilcox decided to return back home to Hawaii

  • Wilcox attempted to force Kalakaua to sign constitution (Wilcox was chraged with treason) (Within this time the creation of the Home Rule Party was created to restore power)

  • Wilcox was elected to royal legislation

  • Kalakaua died, Liluokalani begna ruling

    -Liluokalani swore to uphold 1887 constitution
    -Wilcox was not chosen to be on her government and started a National Liberal Party

    Sam Nowlein, Charles Gulick and William Rickard needed a leader and they felt that Wilcox was the most appopriate leader for the task at hand.

  • Royalist clashed at Diamond Head

    Wilcox was in hiding, Liluokalani was imprisoned and Wilcox was arrested again for treason and sentenced to death.

  • Wilcox began serving in Congress

    While Wilcox served Congress he also ran for High Sheriff of Hawaii
