    Proclamation of 1763
    The Proclamation of 1763 closed off the western frontier to the colonial expansion. The colonist ignored the proclamation.
    "And we do further expressly conjoin and require all Officers whatever, as well Military as those Employed in the Management and Direction of Indian Affairs, within the Territories reserved as aforesaid for the use of the said Indians, to seize and apprehend all Persons whatever, who standing charged with Treason" -Proclamation of 1763

    The King started taxing colonist for sugar. The colonist did not like this therefore they would try to avoid tax collectors and smuggle sugar.

    The colonist suffered from no currency. There were no gold or silver mines. Currency could only be obtained through trade with Great Briain. The Currency Act effectively controled the colonist currency.

    A bill was approved to tax colonist for stamps. This is because Great Britain was in a lot od debt. The colonist did not like this and revolted against the taxing.
