    This was the end of the French and Indian War, which was mainly signed by the French and the British.

    Rebellion of the British

    This rebellion was led by Ottawan leader called Pontaic. It was consisted of many tribed which were Ottawa, Ojibwa, Shawnee, Miami, Huron, Seneca and Potawatomi. With this, the Native Americans became unhappy which led them to attack and trick others.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    This proclamation made by the British Parliment stated that there can't be any establishments/ settlements on the west of the Appalachians Mountains. This means that the French and Indian War was almost for nothing causing the British to rebel.
  • Sugar Act 1764

    Because the England was in huge debt therefore the Sugar Act was established. Sugars (molasses), wine, and coffee imported had to pay tax. There used to be another tax, the Molasses Tax, byut colonists found ways to escape. With the Sugar Act, people payed less than the Molasses Tax but were "forced" to pay. The colonists started to boycott.
  • Stamp Act

    This was the first direct tax which stated that all legal documents and other printed material required a stamp which had a price. If the papers had no stamp, it was considered to be illegal. There would be tax collectors that woudl go around town to check. With that, the colonists rebelled. They started to burn tax collectors in effigy and tarred and feathered them.
  • Virginia Resolves

    Virginia House of Burgesses passed Virginia Resolves which was to try to remove the Parliaments rights to tax colonists for the Stamp Act.
  • Quartering Act

    This Act declared living quarters, bedding, food, beer, cider, and rum had to be supplied to British troops by the colonists.
  • Sons of Liberty

    This was a group of people that was formed throughout the colonies to spread violence, they often burned stamps and threatened the British Parliament. Merchants in New York began boycotting British goods. Later, on other merchants from other cities joined.
  • Stamp Act Congress

    The Congress petitioned with the governement about the tax that colonists had to pay (the Stamp Act). This meeting was brought up because of a number of people refusing to pay tax, many protests, and even attacks on tax collectors. Importance:
    -Big step in uniting colonies against the British
    -9 colonial delegation had been at this meeting and agreed that there couln't be any tax witout representation.
  • Outcome: Stamp Act Ended

    The British because of the presure other colonies had caused them and the boycotting in America of British goods, the British ended the Stamp Act in March; but the relationship between the Colonies and England had been already broken.
  • Treaty of 1766 Signed

    This treaty was the end of the British and Native America it was
    signed by Pontiac making it a draw between both.
