Bacon's Rebellion
Cause - The Governor of Virginia was not doing anything about natives attacking the settlements.
Event/Act - Virginia settlers led an armed rebellion against the Governor.
Aftermath - Bacon's Militia went into jamestown and burned it to the ground. -

The Great Awakening
Cause - Christians were not liking the direction the church was going in.
Event/Act - Some were splitting from the church as it was weak compared to before.
Aftermath - It changed the religious climate, this is because they were encouraging people to make their own person connection to God. -

French and Indian War
Cause - The dispute over who owned the Ohio river valley. This was between France and Britain.
Event/Act - A war between Britain and France broke out with some interference with native tribes.
Aftermath - After Britain let the Colonist help they won the was and France backed out. This left Britain in great debt. -
Proclomation Line of 1763
Cause - In response to Pontiac's rebellion, The Chief declared that Colonist were not allowed to go past the appalations.
Event/Act - Proclamation Line
Aftermath - Colonist were not allowed to expand West at first. -
Treaty of Paris
Cause - This paper ended the American Revolutionary war.
Event/act - This also ended the Seven Year war in Europe.
Aftermath - Britain was Given the most land, America was now represented as independent. -

Pontiac's Rebellion
Cause - Pontiac's tribe was treated with honor and respect by the French men. Compared to the British this was the opposite way his tribe was treated.
Event/Act - Pontiac's rebellion which was against the British.
Aftermath - Eight forts were destroyed, this all lead to come to a peaceful agreement. -
Quartering Act
Cause - British soldiers needed a place to sleep for the night. While they were overseas fighting.
Event/Act - Quartering Act forced Colonist to let the soldiers stay with no questions.
Aftermath The Colonist were upset about this but when the war was over it wasn't much of a problem. -
Stamp Act
Cause - Britain was in debt after the war so started to tax the Colonist on things like paper and documents.
Event/Act - The Stamp act
Aftermath - Colonist were upset because they thought it was Britain's job to pay -
Townshend Act
Cause - Britain still wanted money from the war, so they put in place an import tax.
Event/Act - Townshend Act
Aftermath - Colonist started to boycott, which also led to protest. -
Boston Massacre
Cause - Patriot protesters were provoking British soldiers.
Event/Act - Boston Massacre
Aftermath - repealed the Townshend Act and took British troops out of Boston. -
Tea Act
Cause - Britain wanted to make as much money as possible, so they passed an Act letting one company not have to pay taxes.
Event/Act - Tea act
Aftermath - Colonist fearing a monopoly on tea started to boycott. -
Boston Tea Party
Cause - The New Tea act which allowed one company to not pay taxes, the Colonist thought this was unfair.
Event/Act - Boston Tea Party, Boston settlers dumped hundreds of ea crates into the harbor.
Aftermath - Britain passed the Intolerable acts. -
Intolerable Acts
Cause - After The Boston Tea Party Britain was not very happy.
Event/Act - Intolerable Acts
Aftermath - After closing Boston's ports putting many out of work making more people want to start a rebellion. -
First Continental Congress
Cause - The meeting was healed to talk about the Coercive Acts.
Event/Act - The First Continental Congress meeting was healed.
Aftermath - Not much was done about the issue at first but was then presented the idea of disconnecting from Britain. -
Common Sense
Cause - After the British kept pushing taxes a new solution had to be formed.
Event/Act - Paine made thousands of copies of his pints on why America should be separated from Britain.
Aftermath - Most Colonist could see that this was their best option and were ready to go to war.
