    This act banned everyone from settling west of the Appalachian mountians. Colonist believed they had a right to live where they live.

  • sugar act

    Put a tax on sugar, molasses, and other sweet things. this was the act that lead to the phrase of Taxation without represntation is tyranny.
  • Quartering Act

    Colonists were required to feed and house british soldiers. Rights of English citizens have been violated.
  • Stamp Act

    This Act taxed wills, contracts, documents, news paper, and playing cards. Colonists thought that this taxed was unfair and it must be repealed.
  • Townshed Acts

    britain will tax imports including glass, tea, lead. This is when the wrist of assistance came into place wich allowed British customs to search ships. Colonists said this is still a tax and that this has gone to far.
  • Boston Massacre

    It happand on kingstreet at 8 pm. there were 5 colonist killed and 6 were wounded. A mob broke out then a red coat hit a man in the haed with is gun. Then shot broke out.
  • Tea Act

    tea is only imported direcly from British East india co. tea still has a three pence a puond tax on it. It puts colonial tea merchants out of business.
  • Boston Tea Party

    45 tons of tea in 342 containerswas thrown over board by 116 people. Full containers wigh 460 pounds wich made this take 3 hours between 7 and 10 pm. The colonist dressed up as Native Americans to sneak onto the ship.
  • coercive/intolerable acts

    1. Closed the port of Boston until tea is paid for.
    2. Trails moved to England.
    3. Banned town meetings.
    4. Strengethened the Quartering Act.
