    End of the French and Indian War
    England went into dept after the French and Indian war in rusult they started taxed the colonies.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    This act banned the colonist from settling behond the Appalachian Mountains. They did this because they would not be able to protect the colonist, and it would be easier for them to break away from England.
  • Sugar Act

    This put a tax on all sugar, molases and other things. If they were cought smuggling there would be harsh punishment.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    this required colonist to house and feed any British soldiers. Their rights as English citizens has been violated.Some refused to let British soldiers into their homes.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    Colonist had to buy an aditional stamp for documants like wills, contracts and newspapers. The colonist demanded that the tax be repealed.
  • Townshend Act

    This put tax on imports including led, tea, glass, ect. The Writs of Assistance allowed British customs officials to search ships. They did not have to have any reason to search the ship.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    British soldier killed 5 civilians after they were taunted. This lead Paul Revere to engrave a very misleading picture that showed British soldiers attacking civilians. The civilians in the picture were not attacking the soldiers, but this picture is not right it is a propiganda. The British were actually being attacked with clubs the civilians were notjust being attacked by the soldiers.

    This act made it so the colonist had to buy tea from the British East Indian Company in England. It was taxed for 3 pence England chose who could sell tea.Tea merchants went out of buisness. The British had monopoly over all the tea. The colonist hated this act.

    The Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party was when the colonist got fed up with the tea act. 116 colonist took part in this event and 90,000 pounds 45 tons of tea were dumped out of the ships. The British were furious and steaming with anger when they found out about it. The colonist thought it was an act of heroism while british thought the exact opposite.
  • Coercive Act/ Intolerable Act

    This act had the British close the ports of Boston till all the tea is paid for from the Boston tea party. Trials were moved to England. The British banned th town meetings, and strengthened the quartering act.The colonist called this the intolerable act because they hated it.

    The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere
    Britain sent troops to Concord, MA to get the weapons they have stored. The Sons of Liberty learn of the British plan to march to Concord, MA and take the weapons. Billy Dawes begins his ride from Boston, MA to Lexingtom, MA warning that the British were coming. Paul Revere saw two lanterns in the Old North Church indicating that the British are coming by sea. Paul Revere begins his ride warning that, " The Regulars are coming!" Revere and Dawes are captured near Lexington, MA after warning Sam

    The Battle of Lexington and Concord
    The British troops head to Concord the sieze munitions. Seventyseven minutemen are waiting for shots to be fired. Eight farmers die the war has begun. It the first time its been soldiers versus soldiers. This was going to have a huge impact on the world.
