  • Paul Revere's Ride

    The leaders of the 13 colonies told Paul Revere to tell Samuel Adams and John Hancock (who were both leaders of Massachusetts), that the British troops were coming to arrest them. The British general was planning on coming and capturing all of the military bases, so Revere's jobs was to warn the American troops and the governors about the incoming invasion.
  • Battles of Lexington and Concord

    The Battles of Lexington and Concord was the start of the American Revolutionary war. After the Americans fought against the British in Lexington, the American troops retreated to Concord. They watched the British from across the city, and as they waited for there next attack, more and more Concord men joined their army.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    This battle was the first major battle in the war and was fought in Boston. America settled and fortified a base a high hill, this place is indefensible and very dangerous. The British found of they were located here, and attacked them. The British won the battle and forced America to give up.
  • The Declaration of Independence

    The Declaration of Independence was a document that gave the right to America to choose their own government.This document was mainly written by Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, And Benjamin Franklin, and it turned America into its own nation.
  • Washington's Crossing of the Delaware

    Washington and his army crossed the Delaware river in a surprise attack on the British. America gained a win and it helped turn the war into Americas favor.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    The British went to take over Philadelphia, and Washington's army went to New York and trapped the British. There was two battles, the battle of Freeman's Farm, and the battle of Bemis Heights. America won both of the battles, which convinced the French to support America in the war.
  • Valley Forge

    Valley Forge was Washington's military base, his troops were there for 6 months, and they trained to be able to beat the British. It was extremely cold and frigid at the camp, but Washington chose to settle there because it was close enough for the Americans to watch the British, but far enough away that Britain couldn't plan a surprise attack on them.
  • The Valley Forge Battle

    The Americans and the French led their final attack on the British.Three days later the British general stopped the war and surrendered, which ended the American Revolutionary war.
