    The Sugar Act placed a tax on sugar and molasses. The colonist reacted to this by boycotting sugar and molasses. Samuel Adams established a committee of correspondence to boost the communication among the colonies

    The currency act was that britain passed a law that banned all paper money in the colonies. The colonist reacted to this by protesting and smuggling things they did not want to pay for.
  • The Stamp Act

    The stamp act taxed all paper goods. The colonist reacted to this by rebelling Great Britain by burning all stamped paper goods. These were done by the sons of liberty
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston massacre was when british troops opened fire on the protesting clonoist. The soldiers killed 5 of the colonist. The colonist reacted to this very harshly. They were very angered. They also brought these soldiers to trial and wanted to avenge the killed colonist
  • The Tea Act

    The tea act was when britain passed a law that the colonist had to buy tea from the english tea company. This affected the colonist because the merchants lost money because they could no longer sell tea.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    The colonist disguised themselves as native americans and boarded english ships. They than dumped several cases of tea into the boston harbor. This affected the colonial merchants because they could no longer sell tea because they had to buy from the english tea company. The colonist protested by dumping crates of tea into the boston harbor
  • The Intolerable Acts

    The intolerable act was when the british closed the boston harbor and also had the british troops were allowed to go and sleep at any house they pleased and were quartered. The colonist reacted to this by refusing to submit to the acts, and also and they grew more angry and started the revolutionary war.
