  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    This act was passed to tax people on paper. When they bought paper they were given a stamp to show that they got taxed on it. The colonist were upset that they got taxed on something they used every day.
  • Sugar and Molasses Act

    Sugar and Molasses Act
    The British passed this act to taxed the colonist on sugar and molasses to pay for the French and Indian war. The colonist were upset because they were being taxed on items that they used daily.
  • Currency Act

    The Currency Act was passed so the colonist couldn't print there own money they could only use British money. The colonist were upset because they couldn't print there own money
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    The Proclamation act was an attempt to created western borders on the 13 colonies to trap the colonist in there existing space and not let them move and trade west so the French wouldn't find them. After the war the British were broke and the French were out west so if the colonist moved and expanded out west they would soon hit the French and the British had no more money to fight with them. It sounded like a good plan but wasn't because the colonist already began to move west.

    They put soldiers in the colonist houses so they wouldn't have to spend money on warehouse for them to stay. they also put the soldiers in the houses so people wouldn't make plans to rebel against them.
  • Townshend Acts

    The Townshend Act was the British raising the prices on glass, led, paper, and tea. The British thought that instead of taxing the colonist on these thing they could just raise the prices and the wouldn't know.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was an event that witch the British and the colonist were fighting and the British were told not to fire; but, one soldier hit a man with the back of the gun and then war broke out and five people died that night.

    The Boston Tea Party happend because british were taxed tea , and the people were feed up so they stole tea ships and dressed up like indians and dumped boxes of tea into the the ocean

    The First Continental Congress was a list of complaints that 12 of the colonies made talking about how the British need to stop bulling them and all the things they did wrong.
  • Intolerable Acts

    The Intolerable Acts were laws passed by the British to punish the Colonist for the Boston Tea Party. The colonist were upset that the laws were put up because they only reason they through the tea away was to prove a point that they didn't like that they were being taxed on the tea.
