    Currency Act

    King George passed an Act on the colonies so that they couldn't make their own currency because it may have given them Independence which he seemed to dislike. Also this Act sparked rebellion instead of taking it away because they wanted freedom in the colonies.

    Proclamation of 1763

    This Act was established by King George of Britain because he didn't want the colonist to move anymore West. In moving West the could start another war with the Indians that the just got done fighting in the French and Indian War. Also if the out fighting in the woods it would be harder for the King to tax them.
  • Sugar and Molasses Act

    King George put a tax on sugar and molasses to cover the cost of The French and Indian War.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act was a tax on paper that they gave a clay receipt on. If something had a stamp than it was clear their was a tax.
  • The Quartering Act of 1765

    The Quartering Act was an Act passed because there was not enough barracks for all of the British soldier which made King George force colonist to let the soldier stay at there houses and feed them.
  • Townshend Acts

    The Townshend Act was a hidden tax that taxed paper, paint, lead, glass, and tea. The colonist were especially riled up because of these acts because the colonies had no say and din't even realize the taxes were there.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was when the people were protesting there rights against British soldier and it was said that a soldier heard the word fire and shot into the crowd. "Massacre" was just an exaggerated word considering only five people were killed, this event was used to rile up the colonies.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party was an event were the patriotic colonist raided ships of tea because of the king's tax on tea. They feathered the owners of the ship and through the tea overboard dressed as Indians.
  • Intolerable Acts

    These Acts were made by King George after the Boston Tea Party as a punishment.
  • First Contiential Congress

    This was a group of people that got together and wrote down all of the thing that were wrong with how the British treated them. They made this letter and sent it to France for help with the situation.
  • Lexington/ Concord

    Lexington is were it all started the colonist were not prepared though so the British "cut through like a hot knife through butter." In Concord it was the first sign of America having any chance against Britain they used "savage" techniques by spreading out and hiding in trees and other area. By surprising the British they were able to win.
