    The french and Indian war also could be known as the Seven years war. It went from 1754 to 1763. Britan was defending the colinies. Which cost money so as a result Britan started taxing the colinies, and this is how it all got started.

    The Proclamation of 1763 stated that all lands west of all rivers which followed into the Atlantic ocean from the west or northwest were off limits to the colonist. Also including the rich Ohio valley and the territory from the Ohio to the Mississippi river.

    The Sugar Act made it harder for the colonist to sell and purhcase sugar. Which hurt their economy. It was an indirect tax which economically helped Britan

    The Stamp Act was a tax on every piece of paper. This angered the Colonist because of the prinicple not the cost. The Stamp Act congress was a result of these acts.

    Colonists were angry about the Tea Act and rebelled by dumping tea from the British ships into Pearl Harbor.
