  • Russia

    Aleksandr Kerensky replaced the overthrown czar. The people of Russia are tired from World War 1 and Kerensky and the other democrats cannot stop an uprising by totalitarian Belsheviks.
  • India

    Mohandas K. Gandhi and many other Indians participated in the "Salt March", where they were protesting the Enlgish salt monopoly. This led to the breakup of British India and Gandhi was assassinated by a Hindu fanatic.
  • Egypt

    King Farouk was exiled, but democracy was stopped and Egypt had a military dictatorship with civilians running it.
  • Cuba

    Fidel Castro backed by middle-class cubans overthrew the American-backed dictator Fulgencio Batista.
  • Iran

    The American-back shah flees the country and Mehdi Bazargan becomes a figure head leader, followed by the followers of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and mass executions ensue.
  • Philippines

    The people oust dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos and with the Americans backing them, they but in place Corazon Aquino. It was made a peaceful revolution.
  • South Korea

    The torture and killing of a student made Chun Doo-hwan put in place a democracy.
  • Eastern Europe

    The Soviet Union no longer control countries in Eastern Europoe allowing them to peacefully end Russia's control.
