Reduced molasses from 6 pence to 3 pence per gallon and would be vigorously collected.
The colonist felt that it stoped them from governing themselves. -
The Currency Act
The bill was to extend the ban on new issues of paper currency.
The British didn't want the colonies paying debts with there own money. The colonist were upset over more laws. -
The Stamp Act
This act was a tax on all sorts of paper.
The British did this even tho the colonists were against it and it was repelled a year later. -
The Townshend Act
This act placed import duties on British china, glass, paper, pasteboard, lead, paint, and tea.
Of course the colonist did not want another tax but parliament passed the act anyway. -
The Tea Act
This act was an attempt to help bail out the east india company by giving them the monopoly of tea sales in america. The colonist responed with violence and protesting
