The Republic of Liberty
The Republic of Liberty was founded as a country where diversity is celebrated and protected rather than judged and ridiculed. -
States Secede
After the inauguration of Donald Trump as president of the United States, many states decided to secede from the country for the safety of their people. Of these states include; Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Oregon, Washington and Texas. These states started discussions on how to proceed on February 5 2018. They had briefly discussed it previously but wanted to give Trump a chance to fix things. After a year of waiting they decided enough was enough and started negotiations. -
Texas
As soon as America fell, Texas became its own country, like it had wanted to for many years. They did it with ease, placing military at its borders, keeping everyone out. Once Liberty and Sioux were established Texas signed peace treaties with them as soon as possible so they could stay independent. When New America tried to take Texas back, in an event know as the Thrown Shoe, Sioux and Liberty backed Texas. -
Hawaii
As soon as America fell, Hawaii was sought after by Japan, in a none conquering way, more of a "we'll help you if you be part of our country" way, but Hawaii refused their assistance, and became independent, relying on their coco trade with Sioux and Liberty to make funds. Hawaii took decades to become stable but around 2040 they finally were fully back on their feet -
The Collapse
When the states first started planning to secede, they were expecting to have to force their way out of the United States. But as time came to tell, that kind of brute force wasn't needed, as in 2019 on July 4th, the United States collapsed on its own, with very little interference from the seceding states. The government had become so dysfunctional that the country could no longer function and the seceding states took this to their advantage and formed their own country peacefully on July 17 -
Country of Liberty established
Liberty was established first after the fall of america. including many former states from the west coast and south west states, they started with Arizona, New Mexico, Nebraska, Colorado, Nevada, California, Oregon and Washington. They declared themselves a parliamentary democracy, similar to Finland. -
Sioux
With out Americas laws meddling in the native tribes any longer, the Sioux people quickly started collaborating with the other tribes and people of the plains states, and formed the country of Sioux, where the tribes hold equal power in all government. They began rebuilding the tribes old lands and honoring their heritage. -
The Republic of Mormon
Threw out the whole process of the collapse and establishing borders, Utah took it the best. They were not surprised and were overly prepared, having already some how drawn up papers to negotiate with the other new countries, before they even formed. Utah wanted to become their own religious country and to be left alone for the time being. They wanted to gain some land from both Sioux and Liberty, in exchange for crops, to which they all agreed. Polygamy is legal in Mormon, and even encouraged. -
Natural Landmarks Negotiation
After Sioux and Liberty were established, they began negotiating their countries borders and elected to follow natural land marks, resulting in Liberty receiving half of Nebraska, and Sioux receiving half of Washington. This happened around the same time Mormon was established, and thus the borders of all three countries were discussed at this negotiation -
Utopia
Utopia established their government second to last, having taken as much time as they could to plan, while New America simple dint have themselves together. Utopia is the main manufacturers of the four countries, and is known to be the country of cities, with very little green lands left. But they are also very ahead in the green earth initiative and are very Eco friendly, having reduced their carbon foot print to almost nothing. They produce almost no pollution at all. -
New America
New america is comprised of the bible belt and several other states that wanted to stay as America. They tried their hardest to keep the other states from seceding but failed as they had no support. Mexico was backing Liberty, and Canada was backing Sioux. The east coast states united to become Utopia, a politically neutral country similar to Switzerland. New america could do nothing, so they reluctantly agreed to make truces and settle borders between the new countries. -
Thrown Shoe
Once New America had its bearings back, it decided it was time to take Texas back, so that they would then have enough power to take back Mormon, the other countries following soon after. At first they tried to peacefully negotiate with Texas, at which point Texas' new leader promptly threw a shoe at New Americas leader. This lead to a fiery but small battle that did not last long, as Texas had Liberty and Sioux military on its side to fight NA back. -
Thrown Shoe Compromise
After New Americas defeat, Texas demanded New America pay reprimands for the damages. Texas demanded part of Montana and Oklahoma be given to Sioux and Liberty, so Texas could pay off their debts to them. Sioux received part of Montana and Liberty received part of Oklahoma. -
Alaskan Gift
Now that Sioux was stable, they decided to pay back Canada for supporting them by giving Alaska to them, which had been claimed as Sioux land previously. The Alaskans were happy to join Canada.
