I learned to read at an early age because I was exposed very early on. My dad worked at a comic book store and that's how I learned how to read.

The Magic Tree House series was the first series I fell in love with as a child. I still own all my copies, and I love introducing this series to my students.

As I got older, I still loved to read. Percy Jackson was my comfort series as a pre-teen and I still reread it every year.

In middle school I distinctly remember reading The Hunger Games trilogy almost once a month.

In 8th grade, I joined my school's book club and I made many friends, and got to talk about my favorite hobby.

In high school, a trend called "Booktube" was created where people would upload their favorite books on youtube and give reviews/recommendations.

I downloaded the app GoodReads to help track all the books I've read and help challenge myself to read more books.

During COVID, I spent most of my time reading. I found an app called Libby where you sign up with your local library card and you can check out ebooks for free.

I still absolutely love reading, and my 2023 goal is to read 15 books. My current favorite author is Emily Henry.
