  • Kaitangat Twitch

    Kaitangat Twitch
I choose this book, because I was reading a lot of books by NZ authors and I had heard that this had been made into a tv series.
  • Tandia by Bryce Courtney

    Tandia by Bryce Courtney
I am choosing to read this book again. It is the sequel to the Power of One and I haven't read it for a few years. I found myself describing it to someone as not being that good...we shall see.
  • Kaitangat Twitch by Margaret Mahy

    Kaitangat Twitch by Margaret Mahy
Didn't really think that much f this book. Supernatural, but not with great explanation. Bit dissapointed to tell you the truth.
  • Tandia by Bryce Courtney

    Tandia by Bryce Courtney
Well, this book was a lot better than i remembored (though still not as good as The Power of One). The character of Tandia is interesting, but for me the important part of this book is the continuing story of Peekay.
  • The Silent One by MargaretMahy

    The Silent One by MargaretMahy
I choose this because it is a book I have known about for a while and realy thought i should get around to reading it. Also I am trying to read as many works by New Zealand authors as I can.
  • The SIlent One by Margaret Mahy

The SIlent One by Margaret Mahy
Wow, what a dissapointment. This is the second book by Mahy that has left me cold. I know it is one of her older books, but it was very annoying at the end.
  • Arrival by Chris Morphew

    Arrival by Chris Morphew
Picked this up in the lIbrary...it looked interesting (plus books 2,3 & 4 were with it).
  • Arrival by Chris Morphew

    Arrival by Chris Morphew
Intrigue, mystery and a story that clearly is going to get weirder. Good book, though it felt like it could'vebeen longer.
  • Pheonix Files-Contact

    Pheonix Files-Contact
This is the second book and at first i was confused, until i realised that the author has changed characters in terms of who is telling the story (it is in 1st person). More action than thesecond book.
  • Pheonix Files-Underground by Chris Morphew

    Pheonix Files-Underground by Chris Morphew
Picked this up straight after finishing book 2.
  • Pheonix Files-Underground by Chris Porphew

    Pheonix Files-Underground by Chris Porphew
Again, the autjor has switched the storytellong perspective, so now each of the three main characters have been the focal point. It is a bit hard to get your head around this at first, but ultimately makes the book more interesting.
I also finished this book today.
  • Pheonix Files-Mutation By Chris Morphew

    Pheonix Files-Mutation By Chris Morphew
Onto the last of the books I have (there will be 6 in the series, so I will be hanging out for books 5 & 6-probably re-read books 1-4)
  • Pheonix Files-Mutation by CHris Morphew

    Pheonix Files-Mutation by CHris Morphew
What will i do now! I really want to found out what happens next, but i don't think book 5 is out yet! Arghh the agony of series books (great series though!)
  • Dark Rivers of the Heart by Dean Koontz

Dark Rivers of the Heart by Dean Koontz

  • Dark Rivers of the Heart by Dean Koontz

Dark Rivers of the Heart by Dean Koontz

the Transformation of Minna Hargreave by Fleur Beale
I choose this book thinking i need to broaden my reading to suit some of the tastes of the girls in my class.
  • The Transformation of Minna...By Fluer Beale

The Transformation of Minna...By Fluer Beale
Surprisingly good. I expected it to be a bit shallow, but it had some surprisingly good plot twists. Recommended for both girls and boys.
  • 24 Hours by Margaret Mahy

    24 Hours by Margaret Mahy
This looked and sounded interesting so I thought i would give it a try.
  • 24 Hours by Margaret Mahy

    24 Hours by Margaret Mahy
Dissappointment!!!!! I will never read Mahy again. 3 books of hers I have read lately and all of them pretty average!

No Safe Harbour by David Hill
I picked this book because i am aware of the history behind the sinking of the Wahine and wanted to see how Hill would make a good story out of it.
  • No Safe Harbour by David Hill

No Safe Harbour by David Hill

  • Number 8 Anna Fienberg

    Number 8 Anna Fienberg
I grabbed this book because the blurb seemed interesting.
  • Number 8 Anna Fienberg

    Number 8 Anna Fienberg
Slightly odd book...good, but odd. Mainly the main character is a bit odd. Still, some goood action and worth a read if you are looking for something a little different.

  • Christine by Stephen King

    Christine by Stephen King
I really enjoyed reading this again. After reading it i went and watched the DVD (not as good). It is an adults book, but well worth reading. (note it is a horrer and has a LOT of bad language in it)
  • Blood Red Road by Moira Young

Blood Red Road by Moira Young

    Hunger by Michael Grant
I just couldn't put it down! Luckily for me as soon as Ifinished it I had book 3 (Plauge) to go on with. This series is fantastic. I really enjoy the terrible odds stacked up against the characters. Drake is a great evil character...you just want him to die!!!!
