Upon arrival in the lively city of Rio de Janeiro, a taxi is taken approximately 4.5 miles to Copacabana Beach. 12 minutes later, the team is expected to arrive at their next destination.

It is on this breathtaking beach around 9am that they will receive their first task – score a goal in a soccer game against a local group of boys. This task connects itself to the culture of the country Brazil due to the fact that soccer is a national pastime. In this country, Soccer is how locals represent themselves through their own culture. It has evolved from folk culture to popular cuIture as it has spread worldwide. This task could take an un-athletic team up to 5 hours.

The team will then take a taxi back to Santos Dumont airport, 12 minutes away. 4.5 miles later they will dash out of the cab, excited to see what their next pit stop is on this adventure – hoping to arrive at 1:45pm and sprint to their plane.

They board Lufthansa flight 236 to Cape Town International Airport in South Africa at 2pm, with no expected layovers.

Take a taxi from the bottom of Table Mountain back around to Cape Town international airport. This ride will be an estimated 20 minutes or 10 miles, ending at 1:40pm. After making it to the airport, the team will grab their belongings and make their way to their next flight to Rome, Italy.

This international flight touches down in South Africa at 9am on June 2nd. It is here that the team will hop off of the flight and learn what mesmerizing place they are heading to next.

A taxi will take the party of two on a 20 minute ride to Table Mountain, located 10 miles away from Cape Town International airport. The cab should make it to this spot at 9:20am.

The team will discover that they are climbing Table Mountain, it has a flat top, which is covered by endangered flowers --which preserves them for many cultures for multiple generations. This term is known as cultural preservation. The flag of Cape Town actually is an image of Table Mountain. A huge cultural connection is made between the people and their landmark, also known as a human-environment relationship. The hike will take the team up to 4 hours, and will be finished by 1:20pm.

The team will board international flight 666 from Delta at 2pm to the Rome Ciampino airport in Italy.

This flight will last 14 hours, and will land at 5am on June 3rd. After a great night’s rest on the plane they will be up bright and early for their next task in this well-known and loved city.

A taxi will be taken to Pizza Navona from Rome Campiano. This is an 11.3 mile drive and should take about 43 minutes with traffic. The team can expect to walk within the town square starting at 5:45am and hunt for the Church of Sant’Agnese and memorize a prayer taught by a pastor in front of the St. Agnes Statue.

The team will then walk to Tre Scalini Restaurant and enjoy the pizza that locals often come and eat, this will give them background knowledge of the culture they have entered, where the pizza is one main artifact of the people. The meal will come to a close at 8:45am.

A taxi will be taken from here to Rome Campiano, the airport where they will figure out where their next adventure will begin. This will be a 20 minute, 10 mile ride full of curiosity and excitement. The two will arrive at the airport at 9:10am.

The team will find themselves boarding Swiss Airlines flight 543 to Tokyo, Japan at 9:30am. This will be an international flight lasting 12 hours.

After a night of rest, the team of two will land in Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan-- which is a developed country -- at 9:20pm. However, since it will be late at night, the city life of Japan has come to a close until the next morning. This means that the team of two will have one night of paradise. They will wake up the morning of June 4th.

The church dates back to the 7th century and is famous for its mosaics. This is a Christian church where religion is primarily practiced for the locals of Rome who look to God in their lives. This church is a significant part of many people’s lifestyles. Religion makes up a huge portion of cultural identity and serves as a nonmaterial culture since it a belief system. This memorization and reciting task could take up to 2 hours, ending at 7:45am.

A taxi will be taken to Park Hotel Tokyo, a skyscraper-like resort, where the two can relax and lay back. This will be a 17 minute, 9 mile ride. They will depart the taxi and enter the hotel at 9:37pm. The team will shower and sleep in room 452 for 12 hours, then making their way to the lobby at 9:45am – their next challenge awaits them.

A taxi will take them 36 miles to the Tokyo Sushi Academy. The ride will last 1 hour and 5 minutes, so the team will arrive at this fishy destination at 10:50am.

Upon arriving, the two will be ecstatic to find out that they will be spending the afternoon crafting some sushi of their own. Sushi is considered more than just your average food – to locals it is a work of art. Appearance and taste are valued equally as highly. Sushi is a prime example of how Japan is impacted by its ethnic background. The team will have to make sure that they create ten California rolls, which are approved by the chef. This challenge could take up to 8 hours, ending at 7pm.

A taxi will be taken back to Haneda Airport from the sushi academy, this ride will be 1 hour and 14 minutes, lasting 45 miles. Once at the airport, at 8:15pm, the team will discover their next whereabouts.

They will depart at 8:45pm on an international flight from American Airlines flight 367 to the Seoul Airport in South Korea on a 2 hour and 40 minute flight. Here, they will have a 12 hour and 20 minute layover. The layover begins at 11:25pm.

The two will sleep inside Incheon International Airport in South Korea until 11am on June 5th. They will then rush to board their connecting flight on Korean Airlines to Honolulu, Hawaii.

The team will land in the fragmented state of Hawaii 7 hours and 40 minutes later at 7pm. It is here that they will discover their next activity in the tropical city. They will then depart from the Honolulu Airport in Honolulu, Hawaii.

A taxi will then take the party of two on a 35 minute, 16 mile ride, to Hanauma Bay in the town of Hawaii Kai, where the two will slowly find themselves absorbing the lifestyle of the locals.

The two will arrive at receive their next task, to snorkel in the marine sanctuary that is home to many diverse species. This area is very sacred to Hawaii, and protects the animals by keeping their environment safe – with little to no anthropogenic changes. The team will interact and swim with these animals, just as locals do. This will take 3 hours, ending at 10:35pm. This activity will allow them to step into the locals’ shoes and see what types of things they do as hobbies in this area.

A taxi will then take the team 12 miles, 17 minutes, to Ala Moana Boulevard where they will arrive at their hotel for the night, Aqua Hospitality. They will arrive by 10:55pm.

Upon arrival at Aqua Hospitality, their hotel, the two will shower and get a good night’s rest before waking up and discovering their next task. They will sleep through the night and wake up on June 6th at 9am.

The team will take a 15 minute cab ride to Hawaii’s Chinatown, 8 miles away from the hotel. Located in Manila, the team will learn what their next task is. They will arrive at 9:15am.

The two will take a taxi ride for 32 minutes, 20 miles, back to the Honolulu Airport. They will arrive at 11:32am.

The team will take Delta Airlines’ domestic flight 443 back to Miami, Florida at 1pm. The flight will last 11 hours.

The two will walk to Maunakea Marketplace, where they will have to create and eat a fruit salad using the fresh fruits found in the market. They will do so simply because it will be a dive into the pacific culture the region of Hawaii brings. After all, food is one main contribution to cultural identity; it also makes up different ethnicities. The team will immerse themselves into this delicious culture. The task will take 1 hour and 45 minutes, ending at 11am.
