    1929, the great depression begins.

  • Rachel's dad looses his job

    Rachel's dad looses his job. Times are going to be rough from here on out!

  • People/families have to begin movving because of money

    People and families are having to movie because of their money issues. They might not be able to stay at the place they are living at right now because they might not be able to pay their house rent and taxes.

  • Rachel's family s moving to the country

    Her and her family are moving to the country. They are moving to North Lake. This will make it easier because they wont have to pay for their apartment.

  • The hunt for jobs is getting very difficult.

    Rachel's dad has been looking for a job since his banking job got taken. He hasnt been able to find a new job yet and they still dont have any heat! (its winter in this part of the book)
  • Jobs are getting more and more difficult to keep

    Jobs are getting more and more difficult to keep

    Buisnesses are not able to keep their workers so they have to let them go. There are a ton of people without their jobs. This is making it harder for them to keep up with meeting the needs of their family members.

  • Pop gets a job

    After going away on buisness for a part time job, Pop comes back and gets a job.

  • Miss Mitzi comes to live with Pop and the kids. Pop and MissMitzi get married!

    Miss Mitzi comes back to the house in the country to live with them after Pop and her get married.

  • The Great Depression is coming to an end

  • The Great Depression ends!

    The Great Depression ended for the U.S. when World War two started.
