Chinese company Vivo started a partnership with Qatar and the Lusail Stadium. They provided money for better equipment and gave workers a good health insurance (Oinam, 2022). -
During this year it was proven that most workers aren't given mor than 1 hour of rest and if they get sick they aren't treated properly and most of the times die (Pattinson, 2021). -
Even though work conditions were fairly safe, in 2022 the conditions began to worsen as workers aren't protected of sun exposure meaning that often times they get dehydrated and some of the equipment does not have the proper safety measures -
During this year more than 6,500 migrant workers died, due to the poor work conditions and the bad healthcare they received. -
After many deaths and suffering, in 2021 the Lusail Stadium was finally concluded in November. It has a capacity of 80,000 spectators.
