Prior to Contact
Before all of the contact with the people of the plains would roam around the prairies with the buffalo that they hunted. When they would hunt the buffalo and kill it, they wouldn't waste any of the buffalo. They would use every little peice of it wether it be the fur right down to the bone. Bones were the weapons, and meat was used to eat. When the people of the plains would go to hunt, they would travel in large groups of 50-100 people, just to be safe. -
European Fur Traders
The plains people met the European fur traders
-plains people wanted pots, tools and weapons including firearms.
-The european people wented beaver skin and furs
-The european peoples took over the land, and the plains people git sad because they could no longer practice their own traditional ways. -
Europeans begin to Expand
Europeans start to take over the land, making everything hard for the plains people to do their own ways, not alot of buffalo hunting. -
Europeans starting to end the settlement.
The Europeans have almost fully taken over the land, the plains people have no traditional ways because of the Europeans. The Europeans have done alot of building making almost no free land for the plains people. Buffalo are going away
