Includes checking students in (with their schedules), having students complete a questionaire (seeing what Web 2.0 Tools they already know), welcoming them to the course, and going over the syllabus. Then present students with the "Room B3 Is A Safe Place To Be" Poster (going over all things to consider)

Students will log into their student accounts on computer stations; students will create a Gmail account (unless students already have one); walk through the setup process; students will then send an email to teacher; discuss the importance of bookmarking websites; discuss Symbaloo.com and set up accounts with students.

Have students download the webmix of "How To" videos for all of the things they can do in Symbaloo; show how to create their first tile (to tparslow.weebly.com); show how to format the tile (adding image, color, etc.); then have students add (8) tiles to their Symbaloo (4 school related; 4 personal) to two webmixes (one called "2.0 Tools" and "Personal")

Teacher will help students set up their dropbox accounts (to work with saving on a cloud service), Symbaloo.com (for bookmarking their Web 2.0 tools we go over throughout the semester), and Weebly websites (where they will present their assignments from each Web 2.0 Tool we go over in the class).

Show students the "What Are Web 2.0 Tools?" Popplet Graphic Organizer; show the "Why You Should Throw Away Your Flash Drive" Popplet Graphic Organizer; then walk through with students setting up their Dropbox accounts; show students how to (1) upload a document (2) share a document w/ another student and (3) work with groups on a single document

Go over with students how to share documents with other users in both Dropbox & Google Drive. Students will create a Microsoft Word document and write (1) paragraph on the importance of learning Web 2.0 Tools in this class as well as describe Web 2.0 Tools that students may have already worked with. Students will then: (1) import their document to Google Drive (2) share it with another student (3) comment on the document they receive from another student (4) share their doc in Dropbox

Show students the "Rules for an Effective Website" Presentation; follow then by showing students the "Intro to Weebly" Prezi presentation; begin walking through students on creating their website for their online portfolio

Students will continue/finish creating their Weebly websites (including layout design, colors/fonts to use, navigational bar setup, and Home Page creation)
