For the first 2 weeks, the mom isn't considered pregnant yet. The OBGYN counts pregnancy as 40 weeks from the start of the last menstrual cycle.

The mother may have found out that she's pregnant by the end of the 4th week or later. She may experience a possible missed period and cramping. Also keep in mind pregnancy tests measure HCG hormone levels.
