    Women had no rights or property, they were often seen as objects that were owned by there husbands. Anything the woman made or did was directly property of the spouse. Devorice was often impossible for women because they weren't "people".

    Blue Brides Nurses
    Blue Birds were labelled bluebrids because of their blue uniforms and white viels. These women were the first allowed in the World War as nurses, although not nurses for the front trenches they were very close to it. Often they were the first to treat and comfort the injuried soldiers.

    The Famous Five go to the highest court in Canada to try and over peal the right for the women to be classified as "persons" and denied. They then went to the British Courts and it was passed that they were "persons".
  • Women Could Vote in Quebec Provincially

  • Japanese-Canadians are granted right to vote

  • Charter of Rights and Freedoms

    Women protested for equal rights of men throughout Canada and caused an uproar. They went to court and won, getting equlitly.
