    The Battle of Ceuta was the begining of the building of Portugal's Empire. Portugal conqured this city in 1415. About 45,000 men fought for Portugal and less than 10 died. Thousands of eminemies died and captured.

    The explorer Diogo Silves dicovered a group islands called the Azores. They are off the coast off Portugal. The nine major islands are split up into three groups and and are tourist areas. The islands are made up from volcanoes.
