    On May 17,750 AD., many people from different European countries started moving to Port’e-Bonheur. This was important because it was Port’e-Bonheur’s first sign of civilization and settlement.

    Discovery of Gold Mines

    On July 27,1200 AD., In the state of Victoire,gold mines were found. This caused many people to move to Port’e-Bonheur. This was when Port’e-Bonheur started to become rich. The discovery of gold was the reason the French War.
  • Jun 12, 1234

    The French War

    On June 12,1234 AD., the French War occurred. France wanted to take over Port’e-Bonheur because it had become so rich. Eventually, France won and took over Port’e-Bonheur’s gold mines.
  • Sep 1, 1345

    Beginning of French Monarchy

    On september 1st,1345 AD, The French king officially became the ruler of Port’e-Bonheur.This was important to the history of Port’e-Bonheur because the citizens suffered from many hardships.They became slaves.
  • The Independence Revolution

    On December 29th,1825 ,Port’e-Bonheur began to protest against France.This resulted into the independence movement. It was a peaceful non-violent movement. All French merchandise was boycotted. Work in the gold mines was stopped. There were hunger strikes and protests in schools and colleges.
  • Declaration of Independence

    On May 1’st, 1889 Port’e-Bonheur became free from French Rule and established an independent, democratic government. This is the most significant day in the history of Port’e-Bonheur. The country got the right to self rule and to make its own constitution according to the will of the people. The country started a rebuilding process after years of poverty that resulted from French rule.
  • Normandy Oil Exploration

    Dr. Asterix de’Obelix, a famous geologist from Port’e-Bonheur lead an exploration mission that found presence of crude oil in the desert region of Normandy. This discovery revived the economy and brought prosperity back to Port’e-Bonheur. While the rest of Europe was preparing for war, Port’e-Bonheur was working towards development, research and education.February 7’th is a national holiday called Normandy Day.
  • Earthquake of West Elise

    This was a dark day in the history of Port’e-Bonheur. At 2 AM, when people were fast asleep, a powerful earthquake(8.4 on the richter scale) hit the region of West Elise. It claimed over 20000 lives and devastated the region into rubble. The country showed resolve and courage in recovering from this great tragedy. People helped each other and made great sacrifices for their fellow citizens.
  • The Green Revolution

    Port’e-Bonheur’s water resources were unevenly spread. There were draughts in certain parts and flooding in the other. On January 13’th 1955, the government declared an irrigation scheme to interconnect the rivers using canals. This was called the Green Revolution and it improved the agriculture produce. The success of the coffee plantation in the mountain beds made coffee as the biggest export from Port’e-Bonheur, even beyond Gold.
  • Enchanted Archipelago revolt

    The people of Enchanted Archipelago were feeling left behind in the progress of the country. They were thinking that their culture and economy were being ignred in the development of the country. They revolted, asking for independence. The matter was peacefully resolved after a referendum in which majority decided to stay with Port’e-Bonheur. Special efforts were made to develop tourism industry in the region and Enchanted islands are the top beach attraction in Europe.
  • Invention of Sand-Thermal energy

    Ms. D’Artagnon, a scientist from Port’e-Bonheur converted the heat stored in the dessert sand into electricity. This was an important invention not just for Port’e-Bonheur, but for the whole world.
  • First person on Mars

    Nestle 12, a space mission from Port’e-Bonheur successfully landed the first person on Mars after a space flight of 235 days. Ms. Frenchie de Fryville hosted the flag of Port’e-Bonheur on Mars. She successfully return to earth just 2 weeks back.
