    Agricultural Revolution
    Better farming technology meant more food produced per amount of land with less labor. Therefore, there will be more food for more people, growing the population. When everyone has access to food, less people die of starvation.
  • Industrial Revolution

    Industrial Revolution
    As more people moved from farming to more technological jobs, they created newer inventions. These inventions helped with all aspects of life like trains to transport food and people and medical instruments for surgical purposes.
  • Medicinal Revolution

    Medicinal Revolution
    As medical technology advanced, this lowered child mortality rates, increasing population growth because of less need for larger families. But as medical technology progressed, the families didn't stop having large families for a while after.
  • Improvement in Transportation

    Improvement in Transportation
    When we developed better ways to transport goods in larger portions to other places, making for more food available, people would have more access to food and live longer. Also, more people could live in different places. The first steam locomotive was invented in 1814.
  • Urbanization

    As the population grew, more people needed to live in more remote places. Towns were built with large populations giving jobs and furthermore increasing the population.
  • Better Clothes

    Better Clothes
    Better clothes were the product of the cotton mills. Now you could go and buy clothes and have more than one outfit, making yourself cleaner and buying clothes for cheaper, creating more jobs and more income. Bombay was the first cotton mill established in 1854. Located in India, they would transport the cotton to England.

    Better Homes/Shelter
    When people started living in cleaner homes, they were overall more clean. This ties into Hygienic Advancement and how people stopped dying young of dysentery. The first central heating was invented in 1855.
  • Hygienic Advancement

    Hygienic Advancement
    As more people started cleaning themselves, less people die early of bad sanitation. The population grew in the "gray zone" where people were still having large families but also had access to all these amazing things. The first clean toilets were invented in 1860
