The Proclamation of Neutrality was made to keep the US out of other countries wars. France and Europe were at war, and both countries wanted the US to be on their side. President didn't want to get involved in foreign affairs so he created the Proclamation of Neutrality.

The war of 1812 was started when Great Britain was trying to turn the Native American people against us. They ware also kidnapping US sailors and forcing them to join their navy. President James Madison was angered by this, and declared war on them.

In Latin America, almost every important country other that Mexico, had gained independence from its mother country. As this occurred, some powerful monarchies in Europe threatened to stamp out reprehensive governments if they developed in the old colonies. That's why in 1823 the president, James Monroe issues his famous policy, the Monroe Doctrine. It warned the European powers that any attempt to extend their system to any portion of this hemisphere as dangerous to our peace and safety.

The trail of tears had to do the US and Native Americans. This happened when land developers were taking the land of the Native Americans. Even thought we had a treaty with them, the US did nothing to stop it. This angered them Native Americans a lot that their land was being taken.
