Photos were so much easier to take in the 50s and that led to teenagers snapping photos of themselves. Sounds just like this generation too.

The 50s were all about stereotypes and what better way then to have a photo of what your suppose to be? Woman were represented as the stay at home moms and the men were the hard workers. Great way to be someone when having a visual image around all the time right?

Music was also pushed through photos by sponsoring. This sent famous singers like Elvis off the charts. Being able to snag a picture or a video really was good for anyone's business.
