Bad First Impression
The first time Birttany and Alex meet, they get into a fight in the school parking lot over a parking space. -
Game On
Birttany and Alex get paired as chemistry partners for the entire year. When they have to tell the entire class what their partners did over the summer, this is when Brittany and Alex take advantage of their hate for each other and humiliate each other in front of the entire class. -
Rising Action
While in the library working on research for their chemistry project, Alex dares Brittany to kiss him. Brittany not wanting to look weak kisses him and automatically feels a spark. -
The "Fake" Them
Brittany and Alex learn that each of them is putting up an act, so no one knows the real them. Alex learns that Brittany's life isn't all that great. She has a disabled sister, Shelley that her parents are planning to ship to a facility and her parents expect the best out of her because her older sister can't fit their requirements. Brittant finds out that Alex's dad died in a gang fight and in order to keep his family safe, he has to do everything the gang to tells him to do, even a drug deal. -
So Long, Colin
Brittany breaks up with her boyfriend Colin. They were the picture perfect couple. She's the captain of the cheerleading squad and he's the captain of the football team. Perfect match, right? Well, things were getting worse for them and Colin blamed the break up on Alex -
Theme
Alex and Brittany are from two opposite worlds. Brittany is the popular, and rich girl that lives on the good side of town and Alex is in a Mexican gang and lives on the rough side of town.To keep people from judging, they keep their relationship a secret. -
Lake Geneva Trip
Brittany tells her best friend, Sierra about what is going on with her and Alex. They plan a double date and go to Lake Geneva so no one will catch Brittany and Alex together. At first Sierra and her boy friend, Doug don't like Alex, but when he saves them from getting jumped on the side of the road, they gain more respect for him. -
Climax
Paco takes Alex's place in the drug deal because he doesn't want Alex to risk his life. Alex finds out and goes to save Paco, but it's too late. Paco is dead and then the leader of the gang tries to kill Alex. Alex fights back and gets shot, but ends up killing the leader of the gang. -
Brittany Visits Alex in the Hospital
Brittany visits with Alex after his surgery and he tells Brittany he doesn't want to see her again because he wants to protect her from the gang life. -
Falling Action
Alex and his family move back to Mexico and Brittany moves on and tries to get over the past. Her love for Alex will always be there, making it hard for her to move on. -
College
Brittany goes to college in Colorado, so she can be close to her sister's facility. When she goes to visit her sister, she gets a surprise she would have never expected in a million years. -
Resolution
Brittany and Alex reunite and things could not have gotten better for them. Alex proposes to Brittany and they start to plan their future together. -
