They even had cosmetic kits buried in their tomb with them when they died that archaeologists have dug up including mirrors, razors, perfumes, and combs. In America, however, if a woman was wearing lipstick, she was perceived as a prostitute.

    Up until the 20th century, pale was considered beautiful. Men and women alike would apply a cream that made them appear extremely white and some would paint a blue tint to demonstrate their wealth and "blue blood" status. Tanned people were known as lower class who worked outside all day but when CoCo Chanel returned from a yachting trip sunburnt, fashion followers went crazy over becoming bronzed even though it has harmful effects.

Makeup was more natural looking however clothes, on the other hand, were like nothing the world had ever seen! Women, and men, wore bellbottom jeans, bright colored shirts, and platform heels.

If Barbie were a human, she would be 5'9", wear a size 3 shoe, and weigh 110 pounds equalling a BMI of 16.24 which is classified as anorexic. Valeria Lukyanova is a real life Barbie doll at only 21 years old who claims to lead a healthy lifestyle of no drinking or smoking.
