    From first day of school to today, how my passion for teaching has grown.

  • Caught playing "school" with stuffed animals

  • Asked mom to watch "kids" while I went to the bathroom

    I have always wanted to teach and I played "school" with my stuffed animals. I took attendance, made handouts, and even asked my mom to watch my "class" while I used the restroom.

  • Started 3rd grade

    Ms. Charlier is one of the teachers that has inspired me to teach. When I first decided I wanted to teach, I planned on teaching 3rd grade.

  • First volunteering Thanksgiving

    The first of many Thanksgivings spent feeding the less fortunate.

  • Moved from Dallas to San Diego

  • First volunteering Thanksgiving in San Diego

    The continuation of a family tradition that was started in Dallas that transfered over to San Deigo.

  • Realized I want to be a teacher

  • 9th grade

    First day of class with Mrs. Beltran, who is the teacher who changed my life and inspired me to teach high school.

  • Mrs.Trempe

    Mrs.Trempe was my 10th grade math teacher who helped me realize my love for math and my ability to teach.

  • Discovered my passion for math

  • Calculus Readiness Exam

    This test decided wether or not I was able to enroll in college calculus for my senior year.

  • Found out I passed the Calculus Readiness Exam

    Passing this test validated that I was good at math.

  • Realized I want to teach math

  • Calculus

    First day of my college calculus class

  • First semester of calculus done

    I finished my first semester of college calculus with an A. This A told me that I could be a math major and teach math.

    When I left this class on the first day, I knew I was where I am supposed to be.
