    Declaration of Independence
    The declaration of independence is a document that declared independence from England. It was signed on July 4 1776 by the representatives of the thirteen colonies. Great Britain and the American colonies had been at war over a year when the documant was signed. THe declaration is importsnt because it shaped some of the amedments in our Constitution. Without it the United States of America may have never existed.

    The condtitution signed on september 17, 1787. It was signed in independence hall in Philadelphia. The constitution guaranteed certain basic rights for its citizens. This event was important to the United States because it gives us are rights.

    Lewis and Clark's Expedition

    Two men Lewis and Clark and one woman. The women was Native American her name was Sacagawea. She had a baby and the baby was a help on their journey because it was a sign of peace. If they had the baby when they were going to meet the Native Americans they would see the baby and know that they come in peace. Sacagawea came along because she was the interpreter. That why she could talk with the Indians and say why they are on the Indians land. Their expedition changed America for the better.

    The 13th amendment was the abolishing of slavery. After it was made there were still black codes. These codes were unfair laws only for blacks. The passing of the 13th amendment was influential to U.S history because without it being passed slavery would still be going on right now.

    President Abraham Lincoln was died on April 15, 1865. He was going to a Ford's theater with his wife and two friends. The when he was in the both looking down on the theater John WIlks Booth shot him in the head. His assasination was important to U.S history because another president took over and he was a bad president.

    Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire
    On March 25th, 1911, there was a fire at the Triangle Shirtwaist factory. This was a big workplace for immigrants who came over in search of jobs. Most of the workers there were women who came over searchering for jobs to support there families. The factory had many floors and on the day of the fire they were not prepared. The fire escape steps fell off and the workers could ot et out of the fire. The fire killed 145 workers.

    World War II

    World War 2 was the bloodiest, deadliest war the world had ever seen. More then 38 million people dies, many of them innocent people. The war was one of the most desructive in our history. Most of Europe had been conquered by Germany. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi's and his goal was to kill all of the jews but also other minorites. People think the main reason Hitler became the leader of Germany was because most people were looking for a leader after the great depression.

    Atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima
    The U.S becomes the first and only nation to drop atomic weapons during wartime. People say when the U.S dropped the bomb in 1945 it marked the end of world war 2. An american bomber dropped a five ton bomb over Hiroshima. The blast was equivalent to the power of 15,000 tons of TNT. Immediately killed 80,000 people and tens of thousands more dies in the following weeks from wounds and radiation poisoning.

    Eruption of Mt. St. Helens
    Mount St. Helens erupted on May 18, 1980. The volcano is located in Washington. The volcano was active in the early 19th century. It may have had a major explosion in the 1800. There were minor eruptions in 1898,1903 and 1932. The blast on May 18 was most destructive in U.S history. 57 people are known to have died. More than 200 homes were destroyed. The civil works and agriculture spent $1.1 billion fixing things up.

    I was born in Ephrata hosptial. I have one brother and one sister. My brothers name is Justin and my sisters name is Leah. We also have one yellow lab. His name is Bo. My intrests are basketball, volleyball, softball, and art. My birthdsy is important because I would not be able to turn a year older without it!

     Terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001
    On september 11th 2001, a terrible event happened. Two planes hit the twin towers and another plane hit the pentogon. There was also a plane that we think was going to the white house but ended up crashing into a field. 343 New York City firefighters were killed. They climbed the towers to try to save people when the other tower got hit. The both towers fell killing more people. This was a terrible event in the american history. People will never forget the terrrorist attacks of 9/11.

    Finding of Gold
    On January 24, 1848 history was made. The first gold findings in Calfornia was by James W. Marshall. He made a dream for americans and later other people around the world. People started making the long journey own to Calfornia. It was important in U.S hisotry because Calfornia would not be as laid back as it is now.
