Emily one of the main characters of the story was born on this day and this date is important later in the story. -

Introduces the characters and the setting of the play. Tells us when Doc Gibbs dies and tells us that Ms. Gibbs dies before Doc Gibbs. Also tells us who and what Joe Crowell did and what he was doing when he died( which was during the war ). He was going to be an engineer according to the stage manager. -

George and Emily begin there relationship when George asks Emily for homework help. -
Dreams are Dreams
George begins to think seriously about going to college or instead play baseball for the rest of his days when he is sidetracked by the idea pf working on his Uncle's farm. -
Act II intro
It's 3 years later and everyone is different. People have been lost buildings have been erected and old ones have been taken down. -
Emily Talks to George about being conceited
Emily confronts George about his conceited attitude towards his friends and family because of baseball. He was completely oblivious to it before that point and then thanked Emily for bringing it up. -
Engaged??
Shortly after their talk Emily and George go and get sodas and talk about their previous relationship and how they have always been friends and then Emily says that she has always been his which is basically like them getting engaged I think. -
Wedding Day
9 years have past and it's time, time for Emily and George to be married. Both have a freak attack and immediately regret their choice to get married.
