First outbreak of saurexew's disease
This is the first outbreak of our disease in a small area of India that did not spread much. There were 370 cases and 34 deaths. -
Disease Originates
Our disease originates in India in standing water. This is a breeding ground for mosquitoes, so there are many vectors carrying our disease. Also, during monsoon season in India there is a lot of standing water which is a cause to the overpopulation of our virus and mosquitoes. -
Mosquito Picks Up Disease
After there is an abundance of water from monsoon season, the mosquitoes breed in the standing water. The virus is passed on to the mosquitoes which then go in search of food. -
FIRST DIAGNOSIS
The first person is diagnosed with saurexew's disease. The patient zero is a 21 year old tourist who will then pass on the disease to other tourists to the rest of the world. -
50 people are diagnosed
Doctors don't know what is causing these devastating symptoms after 50 people are diagnosed. -
FIRST MUTATION
After more and more people are affected, the virus mutates to have stronger symptoms and find new people to infect. -
500 people diagnosed
After 500 people in a small area of India have been diagnosed, people start to get more frantic. 48 people are dead, and doctors have started to find a cure. -
TREATMENT #1
After more and more people have been diagnosed, doctors have come up with a potential treatment but no cure. At this point, there have been 3,000 cases and there is a potential threat that some tourists left India carrying the disease. -
SECOND MUTATION
After many people have started to use the new treatment doctors made, the virus mutates to become more immune to the treatment. Meanwhile, the number of cases is up to 5,500. -
Disease is considered a Pandemic
After nearby areas of other countries began to diagnose patients with saurexew's disease, it is considered a pandemic. The disease has taken over lots of India and has now spread to Nepal, Bangladesh, and Buthan. -
THIRD MUTATION
Our disease mutates a third time to become more cold resistant as it spreads to colder countries. The mutation doesn't allow the virus to spread that well in the colder countries, only allowing some cases. -
900,000 cases
Saurexew's disease now has spread to many countries and is overtaking much of India. It is considered a national threat and travel/trade is being suspended. -
End of Pandemic
When the temperatures dropped and doctors could create a treatment more effective, cases of our disease dropped and are still going down. 1 billion cases and 500,000,000 deaths.
