Zane arrives in New Orleans. As soon as Zane steps outside he comes up with the nickname for New Orleans to be Smelly Ville. -
The change into Katrina
Overnight the tropical depression turns into a tropical storm named Katrina. -
Zane evacuates
Zane and Ms. Trissy evacuate from her home. In the priest's van with all the other people who do not have a car and need help. "Were heading for Baton Rouge and will be given shelter at another church where Pastor Daniels's cousin is the preacher. -
Bandy jumps out the window.
Bandy jumps out of the window of the Pastor's car and starts to run and waits for Zane to follow him and when Zane jumps out the window he starts to follow Bandy all the way back to Ms. Trissy's house. "One second Bandit is curled in my lap, the next he leaps clear across the van and out the opposite window." -
Zane and Bandy are trapped inside Ms, Trissy's house
Zane and Bandy are stuck inside Ms, Trissy's house trying to escape the 125 MPH winds. Luckily the house is very sturdy and survives the 125 MPH winds but more trouble is coming. "The wind, the wind, the wind. Please stop the wind." -
Zane gets resucued
Zane and Bandy get rescued by other survivors of the hurricane one of them a man named Mr. Tru and a small girl with the name of Malvina. They were just in time as Bandy was pass out from not being able to breathe fresh air then out of the blue they show up with a canoe and rescue Zane and Bandy. ""Yo, boy! Hey! Wake up!"" -
Ms. Trissy's house starts to flood
Ms. Trissy's house starts to flood so Zane has to figure out a way to get up inside the attic of the old house to escape the rising flood water. Zane and Bandy both make it up into the attic unharmed and they are safe. "Think! Rising water, what am I supposed to do? What did Grammy say?"
