Jesse
Jesse Katsopolis is born into this world to loving parents Anita and Frank. He was born without any health issues. Jesse was a very active little boy and loved to play football. He was baptized Catholic and grew up going to church with his parents and four siblings every weekend. Jesse currently works as an accountant in Milwaukee and gets very stressed during the busy season. He enjoys running and loves spending time at home. -
Rebecca
Rebecca Donaldson is born to mother Carol and father Jim without any health issues. Becky was a fun-loving child while growing up in North Milwaukee. Becky was raised Catholic and is still a practicing Catholic today. She works as a social worker in a Milwaukee hospital and enjoys baking and trying new recipes. She dreams of having a big family and owning her own bakery in the future. -
Jesse and Becky Meet
Jesse Katsopolis and Becky Donaldson meet while both visiting Chicago for the weekend. Chicago remains one of their favorite weekend getaway locations. They love to go to the theatre district and indulge in delicious deep dish Chicago pizza. They hope to move to Chicago in their future. -
Planning for the Future
Jesse and Becky continue to defy society’s racism, and begin their plans of creating a mixed racial home. Their families were hesitant about the relationship initially but have grown to become very supportive of the two. Their struggles have encouraged them to grow together in their faith, which has made both of them stronger people. -
Jesse and Becky Get Married
Jesse and Becky Donaldson get married at Gesu parish. They had a beautiful ceremony in the Catholic Church and reception at the Wisconsin Club with many of their family and friends present. They had a wonderful time in Mexico for their honeymoon following their wedding. -
Jesse and Becky are expecting!
Jesse and Becky find out they are pregnant, and they could not be more excited! Both of them have always dreamed of having a large family, so they cannot wait to get started. They are nervous about raising their first child, but their supportive family comforts them. Becky plans to stay at home after giving birth until future plans are made for the move to Chicago. -
New Home
Jesse and Becky begin to rent their town home in West Allis in preparation for their little one. Together, they work to create a safe, smoke-free environment for their child due in March. They begin to attend classes about parenting and birth, which eases their anxiety but also sparks many questions and hesitations. -
20-Week Ultrasound
Jesse and Becky go in for their 20-week ultrasound, and the doctor suspected the measurements were off and suggested further testing for definitive results. Jesse and Becky have many questions and worries, but prayer and religion help them get through the tough times. -
Alex
Alex Michael Katsopolis is born at West Allis Memorial Hospital. The C-Section delivery went without complications. Alex is born with Trisomy 21, which is considered a “blessing in disguise” to Jesse and Becky. Alex has already brought so much joy into their family and is loved dearly by all of their very supportive relatives. -
Milestones
Alex begins to smile noticeably, which puts him on track for the Trisomy 21 developmental milestones. Alex is considered a very happy child who adores his parents. Alex absolutely loves to be comforted by Becky’s mother. As a teacher, Becky’s mother loves to read him books and enhance his psychosocial development. -
Baptism
Alex is brought into the faith of the Roman Catholic Church at Gesu parish on Marquette University’s Campus. This family of Golden Eagles has dreams Alex and their future children will attend Marquette one day. -
First Baby Food
Jesse and Becky attempt to feed Alex baby food for the first time, in addition to his formula bottle. Alex really enjoyed his green beans and carrots and was a very happy little boy. His curiosity was responsible for the creation of some great photos. -
AV Canal Repair
With the help of amazing doctors in a great hospital, Alex successfully undergoes an AV canal repair, and Becky and Jesse are prepared for the challenges of Alex’s recovery.
