    Dean goes to live in Paterson, New Jersey with his aunt.

  • Heading West for Dean

    Dean heads west

  • Heading West for Sal

    Sal has written half of a novel and heads west

  • The Mississippi River

    Sal stops in Chicago and makes his way to Iowa where he sees the Mississippi river for the first time.

  • The Greatest Ride

    Sal gets the greatest ride of his life on a flat bed truck with several other hitchhikers

  • The Destination

    Sal arrives in Denver atlast

  • Multiple Loves

    Sal finds out Dean has a new girlfriend and is going back and forth between Camille and Marylou, his ex wife.

  • San Fransisco, California

    Sal decides to go to San Fransisco whre he meets Remi and Lee Anne here. First he gtries to write a play for Hollywood but it didn't work so he got a job being a night gaurd with Remi.

  • Los Angelas, California

    Sal then goes to LA where he meets Terry and is unable to make a living.

  • Heading Back Home

    Sal heads back home and finds out Dean is not there anymore but he was looking for her.

  • Furniture Trips

    Sal and Dean make several trips back and forth between Virginia and New Jersey with furniture for Sal's aunt

  • Traveling Across the Country

    The group starts taveling across the country and picks up hitchhikers along the way to get gas money but several of them lie about having money.

  • Louisiana Drugs

    They arrive in Louisiana and meet up with Bull and JAne where Bull gives them drugs.

  • California

    Dean, Sal, and Marylou go to California

  • The New Girl

    Once they all arrive to California, Dean leaves Sal and Marylou for Camllle

  • Make Up Your Mind

    Sal is sick of Dean going back and forth between Camille and Marylou so Sal heads back to Denver.

  • The Rich Woman

    Sal gets money from this rich woman and uses the money to go back to San Fransisco again to be with Dean.

  • Together Again

    Once Sal and Dean are together again they both decide to head back to Denver once again.

  • Chicago Bound

    While Dean and Sal are in Denver, Dean stole cars and so they have to leave immedietly. They got the oppurtunity to drive this mans Cadillac to Chicago.

  • The Travels Back

    After they get in several accidents they leave the damaged car in Chicago and take a bus to Detroit and from there they head back to New York.

  • Mexico

    Sal earns enough money at this point to leave Dean and New York to go to Mexico

  • The Official Divorce

    Dean finds out that Sal has left to Mexico and so he also leaves to Mexico saying that he is going there to get his divorce final since it goes quicker there.

  • Back Again

    Dean then heads back to the states and goes to San Fransicio yet again for Camille, now that the divorce with Marylou is final.

  • The Perfect Girl

    Sal is back in New York now and has met Laura who is his "perfect girl" Dean and Sal have now gone their seperate ways in California and New York with their significant others.
