When the Israelites reached the Red Sea Moses stretched out his hand and the waters divided, allowing his follower's safe passage. The Egyptians followed them but God again commanded Moses to stretch out his hand and the sea engulfed the army. This story is recounted in the Old Testament -
God told Noah to build an ark and have 1 male and 1 female of each animal on the boat. God ended up flooding the earth to erase sin and evil away. After the flood was over there was a rainbow which was a sign that god would never flood the earth again.
