The dust bowl all started when a drought hit in 1930 the dust bowl is what happens when you mix a drought with very strong winds causing the topsoil to fly everywhere.Then there was a soil conservation program created so they removed farmers from unsuited land for crops and turned it into grasslands or pastures -
The oklahoma City Bombing
On April 19, 1995 A truck bomb explosion happened outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building In Oklahoma City left 168 people dead and many more injured. The bomb was set off by people who were against the government his name is Timothy McVeigh, who in 2001 was killed for his crimes. -
Jim Thorpe
Jim Thorpe was born circa May 28, 1887, near current-day Prague, Oklahoma. An All-American in football at the Carlisle Indian School, he won the pentathlon and decathlon at the 1912 Olympics before his gold medals were taken on a technicality.
