  • The trail of tears

    It was a time when people of oklahoma wanted to grow cotton on the land that the indians were living on so they simply kicked the indians off the land leaving devastating effects on the indians lives because everything they worked for is now gone.

    In 1831 the Choctaw Tribe was removed
  • Seminole

    in 1932 the Seminole tribe was removed
  • The Creek

    The creek tribe was removed in 1834
  • The Chickasaw

    The Chickasaw tribe was removed in 1837
  • The Cherokee

    The Cherokee was removed in1838
  • The land rush

    The land rush was a time when they were giving out free land and everyone lined up and when they signed off on it they started and everyone rushed to get land

  • The dust Bowl

    The dust bowl all started when a drought hit in 1930 the dust bowl is what happens when you mix a drought with very strong winds causing the topsoil to fly everywhere.Then there was a soil conservation program created so they removed farmers from unsuited land for crops and turned it into grasslands or pastures
  • The oklahoma City Bombing

    On April 19, 1995 A truck bomb explosion happened outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building In Oklahoma City left 168 people dead and many more injured. The bomb was set off by people who were against the government his name is Timothy McVeigh, who in 2001 was killed for his crimes.
  • Jim Thorpe

    Jim Thorpe was born circa May 28, 1887, near current-day Prague, Oklahoma. An All-American in football at the Carlisle Indian School, he won the pentathlon and decathlon at the 1912 Olympics before his gold medals were taken on a technicality.
