    One crew member had been messing with everyone constantly espcially the helpless passengers. Eventually died of sickness, and bradford thought that god bascially took care of him

  • Main beam breaks

    Main beam breaks
    experts knew that the ship was very sturdy and strong but it was said that the main beam on the ship was starting to break. There was a great iron screw passengers brough out of holland, which raised the beam. "So they commited themselves to god and preoceeded." (30)

    As the boat reaches terrible storms, a lusty young men called John Howland, by accident falls overbiard. As soon as he is about to go down he catches himself and holds on the topsail halyards. "It pleased god that he caugh himself on the topsail halyards.

    As the ship sailed the certain path for over a half of a day they began to encounter dangerous shoals and roaring breakers, they were in great danger. But they resvolved it again and survived the bad conditions. " Thought themselves happy to get out of those dangers before night overtook them, as by gods good providence they did.
  • All the crew gets sick

    All the crew gets sick
    As the months passed by more and more crew members were getting sick and dying. Espcially from scurvy. Sometimes 2 or 3 people a day were dropping like flies. About 50 poeple remained and about six or seven of those men were holding the fort down bascially, They were very mentally and physcially strong. They believed that some of these men were not helping anyway, so they believed that god thought "If they died, let me them die" (32) By that I Think they mean only the strong deserve to survive
