    At the beginning of the story William Bradford is talking about this man that is really mean and rude, and plans on throwing people overboard. But it turns out that he gets sick and is the first one to get tossed over board. "But it pleased God before they came half seas over, to smite this young man with a grievous disease, of which he died in a desperate manner, and so was himself the first that was thrown overboard."

    The Main Beam
    As the journey went on and they were facing harsh storms and ocean conditions one of the main beams that held the ship together started to crack. If iit wasn't repaired soon teh ship would not make it to the new world. They ended up finding a screw that they could use to fix the boat, and not having to worry about it getting destroyed. "there was a great iron screw the passengers brought out of Holland, which would raise the beam into his place"

    When they first arrived, they completly had to start new. They couldn't go to a store and buy some supplies to start building new shelter, they had to start it up all by themselves. They were all hungry sick and sad that their friends and family were dying also which must have been hard too.

    When they finally arived in the new world they soon realized building a new society wouldn't be as easy as it seemed. They experienced harsh winters, diseases, found it hard to get food, and half of their company died during these times.

    When the indians first encountered the pilgrims they didn't know what to do, they would often times run away and steal their tools. Then one day an indian named Samoset came and talked to them in some form of english he had learned from english fisherman. They later talked things out and made some guidline when interacting with one another.
