    Bully on the ship
    When at sea sickness ran rampet on the Pilgrims ship. There was one man who would taunt the sick and want them to die and be thrown over board. Soon after he got sick and was the first to die and be thrown overboard. The rest of the Pilgrims believed this to be god serving justice for those he bullied."Thus his curses light on his own head, and it was an astonishment to all his fellows for they noted it to be the just hand of God upon him”
  • The ship begins to fall apart

    The ship begins to fall apart
    Durring the voyage the Pilgrims ship begins to fall apart. They begin to do everything they can to keep the ship a float. In the end the Pilgrims just leave up to god and if he chooses to save their lives."So they committed themselves to the will of God and resolved to proceed”
  • Man overboard

    Man overboard
    there was a storm durring their voyage at some point and a young man went out to the deck to do something and was thrown overboard by the lurching ship. He was able to grab hold of something and hold on untill he was able to return to the deck. He survived and believed it had been the work of god. "but it pleased God that he caught hold of the topsail halyards which hung overboard and ran out at length”

    Once they had arrived in cape cod they felt blessed to have arrived.They believed that it was god himself who had guided them to safety. "the God of heaven who had brought them over the vast and furious ocean, and delivered them from the perils and miseries thereof, again to set their feet on the firm and stable earth, their proper element"
  • Squanto

    Squanto
    Squanto was a Native American who became the Pilgrim's translator and guid through the new world. He would show them things like where and when to plant crops and where there was trade and proffit to be made. they believed Squanto was a gift from god himself. "Squanto continued with them and was their interpreter and was a special instrument sent of God for their good beyond their expectation."
