Squanto
Squanto was a Native American that helped the Pilgrims farm, fish, and other day to day things they would need to know in order to survive. “…But Squanto continued with them and was their interpreter..., and never left them till he died” (33) -
Everybody Gets Sick
Half of the men they came over with got sickly and died. The other half that weren't sick were able to help the sick, and for this reason they were thankful for God. “And yet the Lord so upheld these persons as in this general calamity they were not at all infected either with sickness or lameness” (32)
