This was an ordinance to state that both tariffs weren't far and that they were "null and void." The ordinance threaten to secede the federal government if they try to enforce the tariff but as a result this didn't work and the ordinance failed.

This was issued by president Jackson in response to the Ordinance of Nullification. This stated that the federal government was on top of the states and it warned that it is treason if South Carolina tries to disband from the union. It stated that it was not unconstitutional on the tariffs.
