Helena and Nicholas Roerichs transmitted Agni Yoga from a Neo-Theosophical religious doctrine. Helena and Nicholas were married and they learned the principles of this yoga through Master Morya, who himself was one of the founders of the modern Theosophical movement and the Theosophical Society. -
Leaves of Morya’s Garden Published
The holy scriptures of Agni Yoga were first published. This book was the first of a series with five thousand pages. -
Early Agni Yoga Artistic Works
The first of the many artistic works for Agni Yoga was created. They were three in total from 1924 and they were titled, “Command of Rigden Djapo”, “ Je Tsongkhapa”, and “Mother of the World”. -
Asia Expedition
The Roerichs traveled to the remote parts of Asia to spread the message of Agni Yoga. Teaching the people that physic energy is the main force of what everything in life is based around. This would inspire members of the Agni Yoga society to do so as well to seek spiritual alignment. -
The Nicholas Roerich Museum Opens in New York
The museum showcases how Agni Yoda has transformed society and how it can evolve human consciousness. The museum also presents Nicholas Roerich’s other works and accomplishments involving the Latvian Roerich Society, Master Institute of United Arts, Himalayan Research Institute. -
Supermundane Published
The latest holy scripture of Agni Yoga was published. It was the last part of the series with five thousand pages. -
Pop Culture Reference
A term from Agni Yoga was used in pop culture for the first time. A comic book mentioned that a hero had received training from a “Kalagia” which originates from Agni Yoga. This shows that Agni Yoga has become a well-known practice that could be mentioned in pop culture. -
Incorporated Under The Laws of New York as a Non-Profit Educational Institution
The Agni Yoga Society was officially recognized against the New York laws and was supported by voluntary donations and membership dues. The organization took place in the Master Building of NYC. -

The latest artistic work was created by Nicholas Roerichduring this time period. The work was titled “Precept of the Teacher”. -
Death of Founders
Nicholas and his wife, Helens both passed away in 1947. The members of the Agni Yoga society kept the teachings alive and various people have led the society around the world. -

This school was reopened by Leah Shirley and Julie Yates. They have modernized Agni Yoga and made it more accessible to people through the use of the internet. They have a website where people can learn about Agni Yoga, book classes, and how to become a teacher yourself.
